Hello to all I am brand spanking new this this forum and would really appreciate some input regarding radar's jammer's ETC...
My line of work requires me to commute from (10 WEEKEND'S TOP) NJ to various parts of VA PA ETC...
I currently own a RED SPORTS CAR which sticks out like a sore thumb in any traffic condition..
What I want to know whats the best bang for the buck what do i need to keep stealth just to shave some time off the MAP QUEST
Input and price estimates would be greatly appreciated.
Illegal in all vehicles: Virginia, Washington D.C., Carlsbad Caverns National Park, U.S. military bases
So, get something that is stealthy for the VA part of your drive.
I personally wouldn't use a radar jammer. They are illegal (in all states) and can cause some VERY stiff fines. It is a felony charge and can carry a penality up to $75K. Laser jammers are a different issue. They aren't "as illegal" as radar jammers. Laser isnt used a lot in VA, although it is used some.
I would invest in a good RD, such as a bel, escort or v1. Get a laser jammer (if you want) and/or veil. I personally haven't seen a great need for a laser jammer in VA or NC (northern VA is a different story, so I have been told) so I don't have one.
I too travel a lot in VA and NC, but I always have a rental. How much money do you have to spend?
Radar jammers aren't as effective as using a good radar detector. Now let's not forget about laser jammers though.
Just curious: anyone got a source on the the legality of RDs in Carlsbad Caverns National Park, besides Wikipedia?

I would sugest a beltronics STi radar detector about $450
For laser protection either laser pro park or blinder should be about 300$ for protection but could be more if you want front and back protection.
I think that the Sti is the best choice because RD are illegal in VA even though they don't use spectra yet i think that it is only a mattter of time until the do.
i would say that for 1000$ you will have a complete setup. You might throw in a scanner or CB radio too.
look around the indiviual sections of this forum and people will be glad to help more.
