Which detector

Ok i am looking to get a radar detector. I am trying to decide in which unit to purchase. I can get a new Bel V995 for $163 or a RX65 for about $215. I could also get a Escort 8500 x50 for about $230. Which of these should i get. I want a detector that is going to work good. Is there really that big of difference in performance to go any bigger. Also if so should i just save up for a Sti Driver or V1? Thanks.

With thoses prices the detector is not coming from a registered dealer and with out a registered dealer you can not get your detector serviced when it breaks

i can get the v995 from Bel for $150 + 13 for shipping. I get a discount because i work at circuit city.

The RX-65 and X50 have comparable performance. I got the X50 because it has the option of blue LED's and IMO the blue LED's are gorgeous

If money doesn't matter, get the STI or the x50. The V1 is good too, but from what I heard, STI is pretty comparable to it.

But $215 for the STI sound WAY too low. I would be very cautious as to where you bought it.
