    Default X50 Owner to V1

Whats up everybody, ok so i need some facts that will make me change. Right now i have a Blue X50 and i am pleased with the performance but i feel it can be better, should i wait for the 9500 or jump for the V1 im sure this has been discussed a lot on here so i am sorry if this is a repeat, thank you to all for advice.

Im in college right now and just picked up my new ride 07 C230 sport and I dont have it at school, so my car will be covered a few months of the year while im at school, i want to be able to update the radar when i come home if new software is out and i dont want to go out and buy a new one every year.

It depends on what you really need.

The V1 is the best with X, & Laser
While the X50 is best with K and has the best filtering which causes less falses.

I'd say that your choice should depend on what kind of protection you're seeking.

You mention that you're happy with your current x50. I would imagine that you feel that way because the x50 is known to provide a decent level of protection, while offering excellent filtering to minimize falses - the latter moreso if POP is disabled.

Extending the thought that perhaps you like the peace and quiet that comes from a less frequently falsing detector, then the 9500i may indeed be a good choice for you (I'd *still* wait for groups like GOL to complete their independent testing, however, as there are several concerns which remain "nagging").

But given that it is rumored that the 9500i will not significantly improve upon either laser or radar detection over the current x50, if instead what you're looking for is more sensitivity - i.e. the "better performance" you cited that you wanted - then perhaps the move to the V1 would be of-benefit to you.

Similarly, I would look at the type of enforcement you're likely to see - either locally at school or on your road-trips home from school - to judge first whether or not you need an active laser jammer, and secondly, which jammer would prove the most cost-effective for your needs. The GOL tests should help you be a judge of this.

yeah, X50 is already good, once you think about it VR releases revisions constantly because they can, Escort tries not to........... but either way lie R5 and R6.1 X50 arent different too much at all so they change bit by tiny bit

I made the switch, and switched back. I'd say keep the X50 and wait for the 9500. I would never buy another V1. It sucked beyond suck on Ka around corners and falsed every K door opener from here to China.

The arrows were nice, and I do miss them. Nothing else really stood out to me about the V1 though.

Put it on eBay. I got $400.00 plus shipping for my used V1.

Im in college to and had an Several x50's. I just keep switching between the Top 3. This past november i recieved a $250 speeding ticket 81 in 70 at College Station. Tickets are way overblown here. Anyways as i was passing a car, around the corner came the Texas State Trooper. He hit the intant-on Ka-band and i had only a blip but it was too late.

My suggestion is go to the V1. Why i say this is bc when i owned all three V1,X50,Rx-65 this past summer i did some test on instant-on with my k-band bushnell gun. The V1 not only alerted almost a whole second earlier than my Belscorts, but actually nailed 20 out of 20 triggers

Each Rd was tested individually and in the same spot on windshield.

    X50 rev 6.1 11 times out of 20

    Rx-65 rev 6.1 13 times out of 20

    V1 3.851 20 times out of 20

i know instant on is deadly no matter what RD but if i had that extra second of alert with the V1 i could have slowed down a few more miles down.

    Just my honest opinion
