I'm guessing that it would be larger and heavier if it had stealth, GPS, magnesium case, but the biggest factor is could they sell it at an increased price?Originally Posted by 1fastmf
Both of those units are already at $450 so $550+ is gambling because I read a report a few years ago that most RD users buy the cheapies.
Another factor is upgradability, who wants to invest that much money in something that could be obsolete a few years later?
These two company's have lost trust because of promised upgradability in the past and not coming through,
another factor in VR's success.
A super RD has possibilities of being a success especially if they dropped most of the units below them, another reason VR is one step ahead as they could add things or create a 1.9 and get retrofit money from every one that currently owns a V1.
If Bel/scort combines both units they need to incorporate Escorts alert tones then turn up the volume, add a bogie lock tone if no patent, add true upgradability and they are there.
