In the market for a radar detector, any sugestions

First off, I live in Dallas, Texas and need a radar detector that is best for this area. I have no idea on the type of radar guns they use, so i came here to ask you guys for that info and help. Thanks to anyone that happens to help me out with these questions.

If you live in the city and mainly drive in the urban areas. i would go for the Rx-65,X50, 9500i(coming out in march), or Sti.

If you just drive on highway, i would say the v1.

Let us know your drivin enviroment and we can make better recomendations.

About 90% of my driving is on I-35 (Highway), there is very little town driving. But when i get into town driving, I rarely have the chance to speed because of traffic.

v1 and your main threats are ka-band, k-band, laser.

Get a Bel :shock: If cash is a bit tight, try and shoot for mid range if possible. But your the type who wants the best, an STi Driver is what you need. You can't go wrong with these RD's for total protection :wink:

So far i have heard V1 and Sti, is there a legit site that compares the two. A lot of sites out there of course shoot down either one to make the other look a whole lot better.

These are non-biased test. Please not that Belscorts products detection has been found to have a bit of variance between the each of their units. Some have greater range, some have less range. Its luck of the draw,since they are massed produced. The V1 is supposibly tested each one by a technichian with a computer before shipped. Jimbonzzz can clear this up.
