Default Is this still the case with V1 vs others?

May be getting another detector...is it still the case that if a person doesn't care at all about falses and simply wants the most detection possible that a V1 is the best way to go?

    As a general rule, yes.

What about stealth? If you care about that, go with the STI. You may also want to wait for the 9500i from escort. About the same price as a V1, has great range, and will eliminate your falses.

id say thats a fair assesment, since the V1 does have twice the potential to pick up falses with its rear antenna, but depending on the settings falses wont be too big an issue with it either

Nah, I don't need stealth, and the reason I don't care about falses is the only place I actually would use a radar detector is out in God's country. I really like the arrows, but I could do without them if there were some better detector for the middle of nowhere, but it looks like the answer is no.

agreed, the rear antenna is a priceless weapon against the dops in wide open territory
