x50 vs. V1 vs. 9500i

I know the 9500 hasnt come out yet but what are the pros and cons of each model, which would make one of these the best RD. (i dont care if it falses, if it saves me from gettin a ticket more power to it)

V1 is the way to go ! I have used X50 and now I have V1. X50 is sold.
Im not trying to make you buy V1, Im just telling you what I know from my experience. V1 will always alert first. It has more sensetivity than X50. And how about laser ? V1 is the best radar detector on the market for detecting laser. :!:

The V1 is the undisputed winner in overall sensitivity to all threats, as of now. If you want the best in sensitivity, this is your RD. On the other hand some seasoned RD users have found this RD to be a bit too "noisy." Added sensitivity comes at a price, less filtering. But many V1 users will tell you that you become used to it.

The X50 is the cheaper of the top RDs. You get exceptional range from this unit, though not as good as the V1. Filtering is said to be better than on the V1, making city driving a bit less noisy, but this comes at a price. Apparently, the X50, along with other Belscort units aren't that keen to "quick trigger" instant on. Me as a user of this X50 say that it is well worth its price.

The 9500i is claimed to eliminate "falses" by allowing you to program falses into the 9500i to where the RD will not alert at that location, unless there is an additional radar source (aka a possible LEO). Of course, this all hasn't been tested so you might want to wait until it is tested by GOL. It is said it has the same range performance as the X50.


For more info/tests, you should go to guysoflidar.com. They have various test done with the V1 and the X50. Hopefully the 9500i will get tested in March.

only if you live where detectors are illegal, if not... there is NO reason to get an STI unless you just like detectors

See this is crazy the 9500i hasn't even been released yet and its in the top 4 come on give us a break. It could be a dog. The wonders of the bell publicity machine what a joke. So far rocky mountain have detected more real cop radar than the 95000000i has and thats really saying something
