Owners of V1 and 9500i

Which one would you rather have on a highway?

I thought the 9500i wasnt out yet . I tought you couuld only pre-order them.

It is out.

From everything I have heard, the V1 is the best out on the open highway. In the city the V1 is rather noisy. If you do mostly highway driving, the V1 would be best because of its range and stellar quick trigger reception.

If you do city and highway, the 9500i would be good because it will be very very quiet.

than how come on escort and radar busters you can only pre - order them.

Escort might be calling them "Pre-Orders" still but they are shipping. I pre-ordered mine on January 17th and had the 9500 on February 5th.

I really like it so far. It is a huge upgrade from the old 7500 I have had for the past 6 years.

Bc if for some reason they run out. They wont be back logged on messages from the purchasers "where is my Rd". Originally it was supposed to be realease in march. So i guess they are trying to get enough units made so when it is officially realease they wont be on back order.

I'm Very satisfied with the 9500i...I have had it now for 2 days and it is simply amazing!!! If you thinking about going from the V1 to the escort, you won't be disappointed...I have picked up many K, Ka alerts and the range was excellent...I have even picked up a laser with it so it stacks up in that department as well...The GPS feature is stellar!!! I have yet to have a problem with the GPS signal going out...IMO this is the detector to get...The V1 one was a good detector and I will use it for a back up when/ if needed once it comes back from being fixed for the 4th time...I highly recommend this detector and I can't wait to see how it stacks up during the GOL test.

Did you run across any instances when you marked a known false, say k band, and later had a cop shooting k band at the same location? Also, when is the GOL test?
