Charlotte, NC ( X Band )
I know you can't tell anything by this Photo but I had to post.
You have to love those 1st generation Razr VGA camera phones.
Wish the Picture would have taken, would have been nice proof
of X band in Charlotte, NC
Anyways, I was heading home the other night and noticed my
X Band started ramping up a bit then as I turned a curve the
detector goes full blast. I then see Blue lights from a State Trooper
that has pulled some poor fellow over ( Prob a RMR or Cobra User )
Where in Charlotte? I am going there on Tuesday.
They use instant on x band in Charlotte, so it may not be the Cobra users getting a ticket it could be Alpinestars with his x band off. :shock: :shock:
Asianfire if you are coming down to Charlotte through Greensboro they have unmarked troopers with x band and KA band on I-40 and I-85. They are starting to use laser around Charlotte now so turn on everything but SWS.

I hope that I get hit by laser, never have since owning an RD, when I come down there. As long as I am not speeding..lol.
I was hit on HWY 49 in the University Area. I do know for a fact that they use " instant On " but in this case I'm unsure since the State Trooper had already Pulled his victim and had his X Band Blasting away on Constant.
No problem at all, I only wish the photo would have came out correctly.
I'm glad to say, we do not have laser here in Charlotte any longer. We did for awhile when they were using it in conjunction with Speed Photo. About 9 months ago they were using a Pro Laser III within a Stationary White Van. They were set up in Known Speed changing areas and as you Speed by you would be hit by Laser and a photo would be taken of your plate. When Charlotte ended their Photo RedLight Program they also ceased Speed Photo. Not sure what happen to the Pro Laser III's and all the Cam equipment but they may pull it back out someday.
We pretty much have all Radar Bands in Charlotte. I kinda wish they used laser at least you can Jam that up to a point.
NC is one of the biggest VASCAR users in the country. No detector is any good against this. Watch out for marked and unmarked cars running it.
what do u mean one of the bigger VASCAR users? i thought that had to do with planes and stuff, the cars got them too? dam that sucks

I thought PA was the biggest user of Vascar? And then everyone else.
