Ive had my RX-65 about a week, traveled 3 states (RI, MA and CT) without much fanfare really, save for the ususal "tea party" in the median with some live radar.
Well, yesterday I FINALLY got some "real world action"....
Heading down a standard 4 lane "country highway", got 2 quick blast on Ka, level 2. Theres a big dip in the road about 1/4-1/2 mile ahead.I slowed from 50 to 40 (35mph zone)....right at the "tip" of the dip, where it really declines, got another ka blast, more steady....ka3, ka4 ka6, ka8......sure enough, tucked in the bushes behind a donut shop, local LEO.
On the same road, headed the oppsite dirction this morning, (going up a hill now), there's a slight turn to the left before you get on the highway....heading up the hill, little ka2 blast. I slowed down anyway....rounded the corner and BLAM! ka8 ka9 right off the top, LEO traveling oppsite direction, about 1/4-1/2 mile heading right at me.
It felt good.
