Whistler 1793 compared to Bel 795

I currently have a Bel 795. I am thinking about upgrading to either a whistler 1793 or a pro 73. From my research done on here, it appears the 1793 and the pro 73 are pretty much the same just with different features. Would either one of these whislters be better than my Bel 795?

You have that backwards.... AGAIN!!!! :wink:

1793SE ---> 3 year Warranty (more features, more control menu options)
PRO-73 ---> 2 year Warranty ("intense" blue display, hardwire kit)

Now, the PRO-78 is advertised as having a 3 year Warranty (original advertisements stated 2 years).


Between the Bel and Whistler... I'd go w/Whistler (although I never owned a Bel 795 to compare. All I know is I love my 1793SE).

The 1793SE is an excellent detector. You can find them for 100 bucks whereas the 73PRO is going to be around 150. The 1793SE is a better deal and has better features. (they both have the same detection range). IMO the 73PRO is a only if you want a detector that looks more stylish.

1793SE is a much better deal over a 73PRO. but I don't know if it's much of an upgrade over your bel.
