    Default GOL EVENT Thank You's

Well I wanted to thank EVERYONE involved in this years event. Roy as always is a stand up guy even if products that he sells do not win, Michael B. is a class act and very knowledgeable and most importantly honest, LEO's were awesome, Rob, James, FakeJamal, Staton, Jim, Don, Ali, etc. were all a blast and fun as hell to hang out. This event was almost perfect. We did our very best to overcome any obstacles and we had some major ones. Don was a man of his word. His truck is 100% stealth. He talked the talk and walked the walk. I ate my words and then some. He won the battle but I will win the war. There were lots of surprises and after this event I was proven wrong when I said there was no such thing as a budget detector. We found a GREAT performer for an awesome price. I mean I was blown away. I also want to thank Cheetah for their James Bond like gadgets that made jammer installations a BREEZE and had a cool factor of 10.
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.

I told you we should have tried harder to flip the damn thing... maybe pull the fuse out of the anti-rollover box

What worries me is after this performer is announced, its sales will most likely go up, but what about price?? Is it going to go up? Or do the GOL guys wish they had that much power!

I don't need to see the results, call me naive or presumptous but I already know the results

I know my experience is well below par but how is this test gonna be any different than last year's test? from what I have read there are only two additional detectors. So I'm predicting no real surprises

    1. V1
    2. Escort 9500i
    3. Sti
    3. Escort 8500

V1 is #1, IF the tests show anything different then the previous tests are INVALID, its a simple matter of logic, you cannot have this huge surprise everyone is waiting for, V1 has been tested over and over and has the greatest range even if its a 100 feet more, which is what is most important to me, falses or not

So tell me, how can V1 not be #1? Its been the leader for attainable/economical detectors for years, although they could make it look better

The laser part is more interesting, since there are newcomers on the market and attainable

Your right. There will probably be more surprises in the laser jammer world than the RD. And If I am not mistaken people are saying that the 9500i does not have as good performance as the X50.

And yes you are asking, how can the RD tests be drastically different than previous ones? Well, I don't know. I know the last one used absorbent foam to test but many didn't really see that as "real world" testing. In these new test, GOL said it wouldn't be used. So yes, most likely I don't think any other RD will knock the V1 in overall performance. But looks like all RDs have problems and are shortsighted on Ka especially 35.5... but however bad it may be the top RDs can probably give you enough time to slow.
