    Default Speed Measuring Warning Devices

    Forum friends,

May I request assistance in selecting the most appropriate speed warning device for my vehicle? I would prefer to avoid the tax gathering gentlemen that frequent the highways between Mercer County and Trenton.

Other sojourns are to the Capitol in DC, sometimes to Penn State University (my Alma Mater) in Harrisburg PA.

    Vehicle: Bentley Mulsanne

    Speeds: Excessive

    Your advice appreciated in advance.

PA is tricky because only the state police are aloud to use radar, so local authorities use only VASCAR. Since VASCAR is totally undetectable there is nothing you can do but keep your eyes open. For your highway travels, the RX65, X50, and V1 will all do a very good job. The RX65 and X50 really shine in the filtering department (important if you spend time in more built-up areas where radar use is a concern) and the V1 is the hands-down champion of laser detection.

I would say that you should read through the forum, watch some videos, and base your decision on which features best suit your driving habits. Keep in mind that at "excessive" speeds there isn't a single device that will keep you 100% ticket free. Smart driving is your friend.

Some pictures of your car would be nice too. Maybe install a Laser blinder + VEIL + Laser Shield and Valentine 1 (Radar detector), and you should be as protected as you can be.

    Hope this helps,

    JohnnyOneNote,

For best radar protection buy one of these radar detectors: Escort X50, Bel RX65, or V1.

For best laser protection: Buy a Blinder Xtreme M40

For best Vascar protection and general monitoring of law enforcement: Buy the Beartracker BCT-8 scanner.

Get a lasershield for your plate in the front.(If you have one)

Get VEIL for any reflective surface on your car, hopefully you have a dark colored car too.

With all of this and a good set of attentive eyes you should be able to travel at excessive speeds without getting caught.
