How well deos the bel 846i perform on K, ka Band. Would it be as good as the whistler pro 73.
BEL models from that era were not very good. You are better off with the Pro 73. The 8XX series BEL models are nothing like the newer 9XX series. They falsed like crazy and were not all that sensitive on K and Ka band.

Sure did! Lots of Ka falses, poor K band sensitivity, and Ka band died during a radar test with LEO! That was embarrassing, but my V1 was still kicking a$$! I had the 845, the 850, and 855, and they were all terrible. BEL kept replacing them when I complained. I finally lucked out and wound up with a 980!Originally Posted by proudNMAmember
And keep in mind that the 846 is a step down from the models I mentioned.
I would stay clear of the 846. Pro 73 users, on the other hand, seem to be very happy with their RDs, plus it is from a newer generation than that BEL.
