    Default Chosen A New One

Hey fellas, as most of you know I just got back from Afghanistan about 2 weeks ago. I am looking for another detector for myself. My wife has decided she needs a detector and I sort of agreed. (considering she has been using mine for the last 9 months anyway) :? My plan was to give her my 2 year old RX-65 which works great and get myself something new.

I had a V1 3.826 which of course I loved the features and the look; but mine seemed to have tunnel vision on the ka side of the house. I could probably dig this question out of reading but I was hoping you all could tell me if the V1 has improved performance since the 3.826 days.

More infomation for a decision: Not worried about lidar, no need for immunity of rd detectors. Ka band is my biggest concern.

Thanks for the help in advance...and remember..."I love you all"

Thanks for your service first off...

As for the new V1 (We are at .861 now) trying to correct E errors... it may contain a few bugs though... they are still trying to hammer everything out at VR.

A lot of users are trying to revert to older units.

Check out the new GOL testing... (March). That should help your decision (however the RX65 was not run in USA I dont think, but dont quote me on that)... so the results may vary a lot from their testing.

    Thank you, and God bless.

An active duty ID is usually as good (or better) than any detector. 8)

Aaseavey, if you are concerned about ka band, then my suggestion is to go w/ either the V1 or the X50.

This is true when not around an Army post. But it seems the local public hates us. We take all their women I guess. Any excuse for a ticket is quite common around the outskirts of post. About an 80 mile radius I would say
