Got my first RD today...

So I finally got what I needed, a new Escort 8500 x50, my dad lives in Maryland so I had him pick it up for me (I'm in VA). Can't wait to test it out, especially considering that I live by the stretch of I-95 that is now one of two special No-Speed zones in the state where fines can reach $1000+ from a single ticket.

I was wrong, up to $2500 in fines from a single ticket, part of a new no-speed zone test, there are two such zones in the state, one being I-95 from the Fairfax county border to Quantico Marine base, BE DAMN CAREFUL driving through there, hehe:

BTW, speeds of 80mph or faster(or 20 over the limit) in VA can be written as a wreckless driving ticket. For example if you get caught going 80 in a 65 zone you can be written a wreckless. Maximum penalty for wreckless driving in VA is $2,500 fine, 12 months in jail, and 6 months license suspension. Never heard of anyone getting the maximum though.

I dont care how "stealthy" I was, I wouldnt risk a 2500 speeding ticket. Just do the limit in those 2 zones!!!!!
