There has been lots of discussion regarding missed wide angle detection. with radars. I like to pose the question if its worth testing wide angle detection.
Once GOL or some other reputable source performs an off axis test, we will see results like this.
RD 3 will have excellent depth range but with the lowest axis coverage
RD2 has the best off axis coverage (its suppose to display best axis coverage sorry) but depth range is the lowest
RD1 has average depth detection and average off axis coverage
This is of course a make believe scenario but one I hope lightens the fact that our roads are made up of more that straight long roads and by determining which detector detects the farthest is_not_always_BEST. A detector that has excellent wide angle coverage will be more useful depending on their driving habits and area.
We all drive on curvy highways and roads and its time to submit a test showing off axis coverage.
