x-50 to a hard wire for a v1?

Just ordered an x-50. Can I just plug it in to the hard wire for my v-1 or do I have to run a new hard wire? Thanks

You can plug it in, but you will not have a mute button. But yea, it should work.

I know I can't change modes either on my V1 (aka using the mute button to do that) with my X50 cord (I don't have the X50 hardwire 'cord'/'kit', just the coiled smartcord).

I use my Belscorts on my V1 cords all the time, and my V1 off my Belscort cords all the time, you should have no problems either way with it'smoking' any of your detectors.
