So I have a BEL RX65 on the way, which I plan to do lots of testing on (a.k.a. driving!) in the near future. I am curious what you all think as far as this being the best RD to suit my needs. Here's my info:
Location: I live in MA--which apparently uses X, K, Ka, marked pacing--so POP is not an issue, but I do not want to turn off any of the 3 bands used in my state unless I am absolutely certain their use is minimal.
Falses: While falses can get a little annoying, they are not my main concern. I will eventually figure out where all the false alarms are along my daily trips and they will not bother me. I have no problem hearing a few extra noises and slowing down in unnecessary places as long as it means I'm not going to get any tickets.
Roads: About 1/2 of my driving is on highways. I am currently in Western Mass, though, so many of the highways hug the sides of mountains. In other words, it won't always be a straight road. The other 1/2 is mostly backroads.. winding, curving, pot-hole infested backroads. I do next to zero city driving.
Driving Habits: On highways I drive 10-15 over, whichever feels safer. Off the highway I go 5-10 over depending on weather conditions and such.
That is all of the relevant info I can think of at the moment. Let me know if you guys need any more info.
