What do your LEOs use?

This may have been answered before somewhere, but in my poking around I have not found it.

Many people seem to know exactly what guns (radar and lidar) their local and state LEOs use. How do you find this out short of having a friend in the force and asking them? Or driving around for a year and stopping to catalog each occurrence and guessing which gun produced which frequency, etc.?

The Bel/Escort folks seemed to know what types of radar I would encounter by giving them locations where I drive.

How does one find this out? It seems to me if you know what the LEOs are using it really helps one prepare.
