Besides better detection and the obvious, list what you like to see in the near future for the next generation of radar detectors.
Here are mine:
Ability to adjust sensitivity, signal hang time alert, and squelch / filter settings via computer software. I like to have a radar detector built with a mini USB port that comes with software to install on my computer. The USB wire coming from my computer to the radar detector will also provide power for the electrical parts allowing for firmware flashing.
The radar detector will be defaulted to a factory setting like our current radars do when purchased. Once connected to the computer via USB and communicating with the radar detector, the software can kill all settings within the radar detector leaving the radar detector without any filtering, squelch settings, pretty much having a wide open receiver BUT useless at this point. Obviously the software would have a big fat button you can hit to flash the radar detector back to factory default.
The software would display slide bars that you can adjust going left to right allowing sensitivity settings. Another slide bar you can adjust for squelch settings. The adjustments can go on and on. Being able to share these settings with each other and test would not only be fun but also provide the user with maximum flexibility with their detector.
Any other ideas on what they like to see offered?
