Spectre/VG2 alert on the 8500?

I am curious to know what the alert is when the 8500 is detecting a RDD

Does the Escort actually detect VG-2?
I don't think I've seen this mentioned anywhere, it only says "VG2 Immunity".

I think the RX-65 detects the VG2 though, at least in the manual it claims to say "VG2" on the display when it detects VG2.
