Default How does "Tech Mode" effect sensitivity?

Bell and Escort, now one in the same, offer their "Tech Mode" which displays the frequency and strength a radar signal. Does this bypass the DSP / filtering to determine if it is a real signal, ie there will be many more false signals because it leaves it up to the driver to determine what to make of the signal? The plus side however may be greater sensitivity to real signals?

Nope, it's just there for your visual pleasure. Also, it only displays the frequency, not the signal strength. The signal strength would be determined by the auditory ramp up.

    Default X2

X2, it doesn't effect the sensitivity at all. Just something fun to look at once in a while.

Whick I may add is a stellar option that you will find no where else..
The belscores have the expert mode which is the best feature I have ever seen on a rd.
It shows you the signal strength for up to 10 bands total at one time I think..
Thats beast !!!!!!!!!!!

LOL 8 radar signals on the 8500......

"Ok these 2 signals are from automatic doors, this ones a speed sign, this ones from the cobra in the car ahead, this one is from the cop behind me..."

if you 8 signals you MIGHT want to consider just slowing down in that area

I keep my RD on spec mode. I had a K alert (speed drone), but got a KA blip outta nowhere.
Always nice to see multiple signals .

spec mode reduces your performance by as much as 75% depending on the day.

    haha j/k

    it's just a cool / unique feature.

Expert mode is handy on the 9500i for accurately using the True-Lock feature.

"That's strange, there are three signals here instead of the usual 2.." -- Not a good idea to lock it out.
