Default What feature do you like most about your radar detector?

    Hi everyone,

Aside from answering the above poll question, I think that it would be really neat if you also posted not only what RD model which you own, but also why you chose a particular answer to my poll question. I hope everyone has fun with this thread since the point is to post not only what is the most significant feature of your radar detector which you like, but also why this feature is important to you. In a couple of weeks I will create a similar poll and thread for the single-most feature (or lack thereof) which you hate the most!

Anyway, my goals with this thread are:

-- to get an overall consensus of what radar detector features are considered to be the most important or popular,

-- to later to get an overall consensus of what radar detector features are considered to be unimportant, lacking, horrible, or very unpopular,

-- and hopefully to drive the RD industry in the right direction based on the feedback from everyone here on this forum!

This is why I selected to make this poll never-ending.

    Best Regards,

    --Michael

I think we can mark that answer for all users in Canada, D.C., and Virginia.

I think everyone knows I run a Whistler Pro-78. It's hard to say which feature I like the most, since it's the combination of range, reliability, good ramp-up, and other things that makes me like it so much. But overall, I love the ability for my RD to pick up a threat at nearly the same distance (more in some cases) as RDs costing 2 times as much.

Hmmm, sensitivity to radar threats, ability to indicate where a threat is located, reliabilty....that sounds like a detector that I might be familiar with.

The ability to lockout X band. I think the last time a police agency in this state used an X band unit Ronald Reagan was president.
