Use your own judgment for this. You want to be far enough so your are out of the radars range but close enough to get a hit. I usually aim for 400 - 600 meters (1200 - 1800 feet).
Just so I can see the tail lights and look for them lighting up.
If they IO them, you will get plenty of warning if you have a good detector.
You are within radar range at over 1 mile out on a flate & open road.Originally Posted by Toronto-radar-chopper
True, but if your car is smaller than the rabbit's it won't matter, if it's bigger the cop can always assume it was you and not the rabbit b/c of a stronger signal being reflected backOriginally Posted by Won Hunglo
I will usually have the rabbit in the left lane while im in the right lane and at least 1200ft behind. It always works well with the LEO in the center divider, they never assume im the faster one or stronger signal. They usually pull over the rabbit or someone behind him.
I actually think I screwed a few people by doing this. :?
Just remember. You're responsible for picking up any LEOs coming up from behind. Not watching the entrance ramps and checking the frontage roads for LEOs could well get yourself screwed. I've lost a couple of fish that weren't watcing entrance ramps and got paced from behind.Originally Posted by CJR238

Yep... even with bunnies, you still have to watch your ass.
If you speed you will get caught eventually, but practicing a rabbit and using a good RD will ensure these incidents are few and far in between
But then, you can still get sniped by a lidar even if you are behind a rabbit.
Excepting radar & laser jammers, and I'm sure laser jammers will be illegal everywhere as is radar jamming given time, I'm tempted to say, after doing a LOT of reading here and elsewhere, the POP radar & lidar has pretty much got this game over for now for dedicated speeders, and for sure for rd only using occasionally-nailed-while-not-paying-attention types like myself.
I stay .25 to .50 miles away.
