I'm getting the sides and rear of my car done later this week. A popular 'Vette tint seems to be Madico Onyx, a semi-metallic tint with little to no metallic appearance, which leads me to think that potential RF interference would be minimal.
Google reveals several stories of how this tint has had negligible impact on electronics (nav systems, 8500s / V1s, etc.), while a couple of you said it might be a problem in this other thread.
Keeping in mind that this is not a straight metallic film, do you suppose it's worth the potential RF performance reduction to go with a tint that's (a) probably a bit better at heat rejection (we're talking south Texas here) and (b) looks a lot more like a clean black/gray tint as opposed to that ever-so-slight greenish hue seen in other charcoal films?
