Default How far can Cobra user stupidity go?

Ok, we all know the deal with cobra already.

However, this is just too hilarious to pass up.

I usually see a few cobras when i walk through a parking lot. However, this week was special. I saw two (yes two!!!) cobras that were mounted at a 45 degree angle to the road. I dont know how you can even get a detector to sit like that but somehow they did. They must get some awesome range with that kind of mounting. One was sort of pointing up into the air also.

the best thing is the each time the cobras mounted like this were in a "bling Bling" car. One was a silverado all tricked out and the other on a fixed up Monte Carlo or something of that nature.

I just laughed. Too bad i didn't snap a photo

Yeah, you need a nice cobra when your rollin in that nice tricked
out Whip. I think that's what the kids call them now days "Whips".

Since the Car looks like a UFO, you might as well have a Detector
pointed into space to detect other UFO's

Anyways, maybe it's my age but I just don't see the cool factor in making
    yourself look like an moron.

I had a guy in a 90's F-150 Flareside behind me with a Cobra yesterday. He actually had it mounted straight and just to the left of the RVM! But the guy was one of those impatient d.ouches who kept swerving back and forth behind me even though there was a long line of cars and nowhere to go.

LOL when I was looking for "Lite 'n Boltz" license plate couple days ago I parked next to a 2001 GXP Bonneville, the guy came out and started talking to me noticing I had a bonneville too, he said he's been having lots of electrical problems, the PCM went out and he had to replace it and was asking if I had similar problems. I told him no and started checking out his ride, I see he has a cobra radar detector, and I said, 'wellp, I think I found your problem right here, get rid of that p.o.s. Look at the setup I got, that's what you want

Being a Cobra owner (although it's banished to my wife's car) I find it hard to talk to other, unknowing Cobra users. Typically, they are people who I hope get pulled over, anyway. Like that reviewer on Epinions of the 9930 who says it allows him to go 120 mph....

It's funny because for a while it seemed like I wasn't seeing very many detectors anymore, but now that I have to park in one of the bigger parking lots at school now I see them all the time. The biggest thing is pointing the detector down.. I don't really get it.. But I have seen many pointed up too, sort of hugging the curve of the windshield. I have also seen many Cobras mounted correctly, too, ya just never know...

Cobra drivers always think they are invincable, hence they make great rabbits.

Well... Even some users of good RD's cannot use them right.

I seen a guy with a V1 mounted sideways.
