Default Which radar to get for under $500

I dont really know any thing about radars. I drive an evo so i get pulled over quite often. I was looking at the 9500i, rx65, sti, valentine. What is the best radar out of all the radars not just those.

V1 for over all sensitivity/distance and the 9500I for the quietest with great performance and a tone of cool features.

In the end get both and choose what one you like best.

I realize it's a car (with 4 wheels) and not an UFO

Who makes it, what car manufacturer, that was my question, I've never heard about this model so I'll be very happy to learn more about cars 8)

    lol, sorry.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and the Subaru WRX STI are the biggest rivals.
WRX STI is a turbocharged, DOHC, horizontally opposed four-cylinder 300 hp at 6,000 rpm and 300 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. It's matched with a six-speed manual.
And the EVO is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine 286hp and 289 pounds-feet of torque. Both cars 0-60 are under 4 seconds.

Its all about HOW you drive, not WHAT.

V1, X50, RX-65, STI are all of the top dogs.

It all depends on what you want.

Do you want something that will show you where ALL radar sources are regardless of if it is a cop? But be a bit "chatty", if so get a V1.

Do you want something that will tell you where radar is but filter it for you(just a bit)? Something that has a text display? If so look into the X50 and RX-65.

If you live in Canada, Washington DC, or Virginia and need a detector that cannot be detected by the police, get the STI.

Simple.... A Valentine one is by far the best I have ever used.

Belscort has some nice detectors but poor reliability.
