Default any negative effects mounting rd behind "dots"on w

in my f150, it has the black dots or w.e at the top of the windshield, above and around the rvm. they arent raised or textured, the suction cups stuck to where the dots are so idk what they are(in the glass maybe) but will i have any negative eggects mounting my x50 behind them? im not worried about any effects it would have on laser really.

Conventional radar (X, K, Ka): NO EFFECT at all

Laser: maybe yes, maybe no, personally don't know for sure as I got no such dotted strip in front of my visor

thanks, i had a feeling thats what it would be, but i wanted to know for sure before i did it.

im not too concerned about laser, really the alert is kind of pointless ,the truck has a cunch of chrome, and being up so high its not much of a use anyway.

I would not put it behind the dotted area above the mirror. I do have a van with dotted area above RVM and it seems to decrease sensitivity.

Some dots are ceramic and others are metalic. Best way to see if it effects sensitivity is to put it behind the dots well near an automatice door then move it away from the dots and see if sensitivity increases.

the dots are weird, in my car they are textured and i can actually feel them. in the truck its completely smooth like they are in the middle of the glass or something, you cant feel them at all
