    Default Stolen Radar

Weird question but I would like to know how many people have gotten their radar stolen?

    Where?
    Radar?
    How?

A number of years ago I had a Whistler stolen in the parking lot at an apartment complex we lived in at the time. I took it as a chance to upgrade to an Escort that I loved and did a good job. I was pissed at first, but once I bought the Escort all was forgotten

I have had 5 stolen over the past 15 years. All except one the window was busted out in the car. The last one I think I had a few too many and left the door of the car unlocked! Since I started running Escorts and V1's, I take them in the house at night, or if I park somewhere all day, I put it in the truck.

I had a Maxon "Micro Trouncer" I purchased out of a DAK catalog in 1988 (remember DAK? They claimed the Maxon was better than the Escort). It was a POS. Anyway, when I was at a client's office some punks slashed my tires. When I discovered this and went to call the police and AAA, I forgot to lock my doors, and the punks came back and took my RD, my bag of stuff and destroyed the dash trying to get the Alpine out.

Danged insurance company wouldn't cover it either.

Here is the funny part about it. I was living in an apartment where I could see the parking lot. I also had 2 cameras facing the parking lot and my truck from the second story. Well I was getting bed had my boxers on and I saw a guy standing next to my truck and then he went behind it. I thought he was taking a piss. You know were guys it's not uncommon espically for the apartments I was living in. Well I was concerned that he was behind my truck but at the same time there was an officer about 200 ft from him on a family disturbance so I was like ok he is not going to do anything with them there.

Well right as the cop leaves a car pulls up and he runs from the back of my truck and gets in the car. I was like what the hell. I called 911 right then I knew something had happend.

Well when I got dressed and went down there that is when I found that my truck had been completley taken apart inside. They punched out the back lock and got in. They must have made 2 trips to get the stuff and they came back to get him. I missed all that and was not recording. It was only like 10:30 pm. Well the video quality was not good enough and it was dark so we never caught them.

Sounds like you need in alarm in your ride. I have one in my ride and its great because if I even think someone is trying to break in all I have to do is hit the button on my remote on my key and it will sound off a 7 stage siren thats loud as hell.
