it reminds me of something from batman in the 50's POW!!
This was actually sold in the 70's.
I was tested one in 1982 on an old XK passive unit and a superhet Q1000.
It did nothing
1st: That red and white swirl is printed on the cardboard behind the plastic lens thing. When you held the package in your hands and moved it side to side, you could see the magnification effect and imagine how it helped with "radar waves"
I bought one of those things for my Fuzzbuster II. I can't say that it made any difference either. You'd get "just beyond visual range" detection on those units.
It would alarm and about three seconds later a car with constant on radar would come around a curve towards you. Anything to help, and if I recall correctly, it was less than $20.
