Please help me find a good detector for NJ

I already have 8 points in my license. I need a radar detector very badly . I drive in Rt 9 and Turnpike everyday 35 miles one way.
I know i have to drive carefully to avoid anymore tickets.

Please suggest me a good one. Thanks in advance.

Jersey uses x-band right? You can't beat the V1 with regards to X-band. But, that said, you'll be fine with the V1, Escort 8500 X50, or Bel RX65. Oh, and with that many points, I'd just start slowing down, rather than try to beat the system, lol.

I would definatly have to go with any Rocky Mountain Radar Product. They are all great and are undectecable by ANYTHING out there :roll:

I see you only have 1 post therefor this is your first post. Please try reading around the forum. This has been discussed MANY times and i'm sure you could find lots of information on it.

Thanks for your suggestion. And for the slowing down advice.... i am driving at speed limit most of the times...but driving 70 miles a day and 5 days a week...sometimes you might tend to speed unknowingly !!!!. I am not trying to beat the system actually i am trying to be extra cautious.

One thing a lot of people don't realize is that a detector is NEVER a license to speed. If you think that, you have another thing coming. It's a TOOL to be used. When used properly, it can not only save you from an unnecessary run-in with the tax man, but it helps keep you more alert and aware of your surroundings. If you're a habitual speeder, it's just a matter of time...detector or not.

If you do not want to spend the money on one of the big 3 take a look at the Whistler Pro Series.
They are a good unit for the price.

deffinitly get the rx-65.....the v1 will drive you crazy with trafic lights...i have the x50 and it does a great job on X band but it lacks alot when going 90 on the parkway....i live in new jersey(monmouth county) the valentine 1 will drive you crazy..i had the pop/2 with euro...it picked up x-band alot better then my x50 but like i said you will go crazy....THE ONLY THING V1 IS BETTER AT IS PICKING UP IS X-BAND THATS ALL!@!@!@!@!
