    Default Instant-On , POP ? Same?

I own a Bel X65 I got from Roy and I love it, although I am still confused as to what is the difference between instant on and pop mode. I know pop mode is 67ms bursts of Ka radar (or K maybe?) I have heard some pop mode guns now fire at 14-16ms and why is Pop different from Instant On? Should I worry about Laser, Instant-On AND Pop since none of these offer any advance warning??

Instant On is when a human operator cuts the radar on and off. A second or more of RF is transmitted.

POP is when the radar is desgined with a mode that cuts it on and off so quickly, it's hard to be detected. The operator still cuts it on, but it cuts off much faster than a human could cut it off.

If you read enough posts here, you will learn that it's not the "bullet" with your name on it that should worry you, it's making sure you "hear" the others that are fired before you are looking down the barrel.

If you are the lone car on the road, assume you will have no warning.

What state do you live in???
Also to clear up pop and instant on.......
Pop is at 67ms or 16ms but tickets are and cannot be issued in this setting
There Radar has to be switched over to Constant or Normal mode ....in which any detector would pick it up....so pop is not a big deal as well as not being in but a few states...maybe nevada.
    Instant on has advanced notice....
If you are out by yourself with no traffic around you may not get any warning so you have to think when speeding.
When instant on is used your rx65 picks it up when cars in front of you are being shot.
Your RX65 and my X50 can pick that up from 2 miles away in some instances.

I live in Central Florida, I've been hit with laser before and ticketed when taking my girlfriend to work (running late ) it was 46 in a 35 zone. Anyways, I turn X Band off because I haven't seen any X-band warnings here that are actual radars, I could be wrong, but I know they do use Pop mode here, and OFTEN, I see them near paytolls (fasttrack/E-pass) and airports. I'm not an abusive speeder I just wander above speed sometimes. Does the Bel X65 even pick up pop at 16ms? Isn't that WAAY to fast? The manual only mentions 67ms...

When you get a pop alert it probably means there is a Cobra detector in sight.

I sold my cobra and got a bel x65 (RadarRoy rules)...

I must have been annoying all those bel users when I drove by...

I most certainly agree. My sister's Cobra reliably gives my RX65 POP alerts every few seconds.

Another difference between POP and instant-on

POP can't be used while moving and has none of the fancy features like fastest vehicle tracking. Opposite for instant-on.

So POP cannot distinguish between moving vehicles in traffic? It must be aimed at individual targets then?
