    Default Consumer Electronics Show 2008

Just returned from CES 2008 and had an opportunity to see the new 2008 line up in speed counter measure devices.

Cincinnati Microwave? There's a blast from the past! Sounds better than "Escort, Inc." anyway and no more risk of ending up with a "massage" instead of a radar detector (I'll admit, I kind of liked it).

You know, I'll bet they did that because they were sick and tired of everyone saying "Belscort"

I can't wait to hear your review of the 9500ci. 8 weeks should give us a good idea of what is good and/or bad about this unit. Thanks.

Well they sure picked a bad name to replace that... I mean is it Cinncinnati or is it Cincinatti or Cinnnicinncinnammon I don't know if there are any more difficult to spell names in the world, at least for someone without a Midwest USA palate Oh heck I will just say Belscort

I suppose it safe to assume they are using LED technology (vs laser diode)? Any comments Roy / others?

Also, the MapTrax RD could be Attowave, but I don't think it's the same platform as the RMR C450.

The C450's FCC ID is QKK-C03. Here's internal pics:

(I have a C450 and it uses that platform)

    Here's the Uniden MapTrax:
