Default Why is there bad information about V1?

I was in a discussing with a guy when we were talking about what the V1 had that the X50 didn't. I then wanted facts so decided to go to some of the best sites "names not listed" that everyone seems to talk about. Upon doing research I found that many sites are telling false stories about V1. I personaly own the X50 just because I read what it could and could not do due to what I read and I was pleased with that. I did even a lot of research too. Now come to find out all the major sites say what the V1 can and can not do. Well I won't be one to say which one is better but all you have to do is go to V1's website and look at specs' and compare apples to apples. For example: Escort and Bell have more user selectable modes. Do they? Well.... V1 Shows they can do the same thing now. I was always one to debate which one is better Bel, Escort, or V1. Now it appears they are running neck and neck again. Is there really true results you can count on besides the videos that members have posted? I'M kind of upset with the information some sites are posting about certain detectors, should I belive it or not? The guy that I was speaking with did also mention, look at the products they sell its mainly escort and bel. I want real tests real results. So I say all of the 3 detectors Bel, Escort, and V1 are actualy equal! No arguments needed!

How about some rear detection results guys, no site that I have seen has posted any of these results. I know for a fact that behind the rear radar is being used. Please post your comments to this id be very interested in what you have to say.

Well, I think if a radar site wants to test all aspects of a radar, they should go ahead and test detection from behind.

You see what I have come to find is that there are a few people on this forum that own a V1 just to have the right to bash it and those people know exactly who they are.

I think one big problem with most sites is rather than showing data or doing tests themseleves, they just repeat rumors they've read elsewhere.

I love the kind of testing being done here, especially in the video section. You can see with your own eyes.

It's been this way with the V1 for years...

www.radartest.com is the worst...I went thru their scoring system on one of their tests and it was a joke. Features on Non-V1's that the V1 didn't have were heavily weighted in the scoring system, while the V1 got either no credit, or very little, for having features that the others don't.

When it boils down to it, I'm happy to own a RD at all. :!: I'm grateful to have a V1. And, I'd be grateful to have an RX65 or X50. So, if anyone wants to donate an RX65 or X50...

Speedzones.com did some rear detection tests in past years but for some reason they did not do it this year. So if you can find their test results from previous years you should be able to see rear detection results. But since they were previous years, they may not include the newest models.

I think rear detection is important. If you live in an area where same lane radar is not used, it may not be quite as important. But in any case, I like to know when a cop is creeping up on me from behind.

Craig Peterson's contention that same lane radar is never used anywhere is simply wrong. I have seen it used and there are some cops willing to go through the effort to use it. Plus, the newer radar units make it easier to use same lane radar. For example, you no longer have to choose whether the patrol car is going faster or slower than the target.
