Default Help me stealth this car!

I put in a bid on this car, and I was contacted and they said it was mine if I like the test drive. I will drive down and test drive it this week, see if its what I am looking for.

The thing about this car, is I want to have the detector concealed. I was thinking about an escort sr7, but witht he top down on the highway I am pretty sure I ill not hear it, but maybe I could hook it to a speaker or somthing?

If I were to conceal a v1 in here, where would I put it? I would get a concealed display of coarse, but where would I put the unit?

If I were to conceal a sr7, where do you think I should place the concealed display?

Also, the blinder heads im thinking closest to the fog lights, and of coarse it will be accompanied by VEIL

I know this will take a hit on laser preformance over my cavalier, but as I have learned, I can slow down in 4 or 5 seconds from 90MPH and still have considerable distance before he would get punch through. So getting a JTG isnt necesary...

Ohh, nice car, I'm jealous. What is it, a Z3? Looks like it'd be a cop magnet, but it seems like you have the countermeasures all set. That's quite a step up from a Cavalier.

As for where to put a RD, if you can't cram it above the rear-view mirror I'd just stick it on the visor, like my stealth V1 visor pouch. If you're going to park it with the top down, I'd make the detector easy to remove.

Beside the fog lights is probably the best spot for the Blinder heads. Is a front plate needed in your state? If so, put them near the plate. Otherwise, I'd put them further out, closer to the headlights. Veil of course is not optional with those headlights!

    P.S. Ooh, I'm a Lead Foot now!
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Put your V1 in a housing right behind and between the rear seats, concealed display and remote audio adapter wherever you want them. I'll tell you that the remote audio adapter generates some LOUD beeps and braps! Louder than my main unit. Blinder and Veil will take care of laser.

If, of course, you can figure out what's been going on with your K band detection. Remote mounts are way more expensive than they are actually worth.

I would go with a Blinder M30 for extra protection one transponder right under the plate with the other heads by the fog lights..JTG is always neccessary

In the red square fabricate a plastic housing/bok to keep your V1 there and use the concealed display
    Maybe you could try this?

At least it isn't neon yellow.

Would a low rear mounting affect radar sensitivity? There's a lot of stuff, including metal, between the front of the car and the RD's antenna.

I don't know what HappyA$$ meant, but I that car definitely needs one of the Big 3, along with the Veil and M20/M30. The V1 is ideal for such an application with its remote display and audio adapter. If you can get the V1 up high so it can pick up laser, you could get advance warning in some cases, and can be slowed down even before the Blinder kicks in.

I'm trying to figure out something for my convertible too. I just picked up an x50 and i ordered a v1 to test them side by side.

In my car i'm thinking of mounting it on the peice of trim up top, where the rear view is, building some kind of enclosue around it and just putting a lense on either end.

**edit** here is my thread so you can see what i'm talking about.

I have always loved silver cars. Hard to tell if they are dirty, and they hide scratches well.

As for getting an m30, if I did that the blinders would be within 18 inches of eachotehr and may conflict...

I came close to selling myself on a silver RSX, and if I had found my Accord in silver instead of black I would have bought it anyway. Love the way silver cars look.
