Whixh is better? Bel rx65 or Escort 8500x50

I want to know which RD the rest of yall believe is best and why?

I personally like my X50 better than my RX-65. Only major plus with Rx-65 will be the KU- Band when it comes out in december.

This one is pretty clear cut to me the X50. I dont see any politically correct way of saying this but the X50 IMO is much better than the RX65.

Honestly I really believe that the X50 is overall a better detector than the RX65, even though i own the RX65. The deciding factor for me was Ku band, as there seems to be an issue with these manufactures upgrading the software of your existing detector. I am not trying to start a fire here Happya$$, but when you say the X50 is "much better" I think you are sending a mixed message to especially the newcomers who are trying to decide on which detector to purchase. I have seen you post on numerous occasions advising people that they can't go wrong with any of the big 3, but now to say the X50 is "much better" is a strong statement. If this is truely the way you feel, ("that it is much better") then I think that you should give this as your opinion to keep confusion down amongst the undecided. Being a newcomer myself, I value your opinion as well as a few other well knowns in this forum and probably would have reconsidered if I would have read your statement.

I have a 980 will probably buy a x50 soon. I dont like the Calibration messages that the bel's emit... A detector should be sturdy , without the bull$hit repair messages. No one is perfect of course...

I wish i had the money for a valentine. :roll:

The only reason i would get a valentine 1 would be for the superior laser detection. X50 for the budget minded. Plus with blinder the x50 will do just fine.

If laser is the concern in your area, I would get the x50 to save a hundred+ bucks (im sure roy will give you a discount since you are a board member)

Use that money for a can of veil, and mount the x50 low. You will still haev a pretty damn good chance of being able to slow down in time.
