    Default x-band radar still around

Very simple question..Does anyone even still use x-band radar anymore? It its such a old radar freq. What law enforcement agency would use such outdated radar guns, and why would rd companies keep making rds that scan for it.

So far I know that only New Jersey State Troopers are still using old x-band radar units, this is as per State Troopies (those patrolling the interstates), but you might find locals, county sheriff cruisers anywhere in the States, to still use this old technology, but now is pretty rare... no such thing anywhere in S Ontario (from Windsor to Niagara Falls and eastward to Quebec) where I live...

I can personally attest to the fact that a number of local municipalities in NJ as well as some of our State Troopers use X-band radar. I guess the thinking on their part is "Why upgrade the radar when we can still catch plenty of people speeding with our old technology." Or something along those lines.

NJSP use X band heavily. they are starting to get into LIDAR use as well; many patrol units have been reported to be using LIDAR in northern and southern Jersey. i have come across some town police in Jersey that use X band also.

NJ is full-serve gas. it is illegal to pump your own gas in Jersey.

Really? didn't know that, maybe never got gas in NJ, a too short ride from PA border into NYC... so OR and NJ embracing the socialist values personally I hate somebody else pumping gas in my car unless I WANT THAT, very few full-serve gas stations in my area, spoiled people prefer this system!

Someone pumping your gas is not socialism. Hoever I do agree that you should be able to pump it yourself id you want to.
