The 9500ci uses the STi's FCC certified G8M3 antenna. Thus both the STi-R and the 9500ci are just as immune to detection by the Spectre as the standard dash mounted STi. All three of these Belscort models are completely stealth as far as Spectre detection is concerned. Amoney, obviously you were assuming that the 9500ci used the 9500i's M4 platform which it doesn't. Just a "heads up" for you!
OK, 1) what the heck is this 9500ci? where is it coming from, available in US? 2) any GOL tests on this whatever 9500ci to show exactly that's totally immune to Spectre 3 or 4? 3) Is this 9500ci a regular RD or a remote one like STI-R that costs a ton of money plus separate professional installation?
TIA
The 9500ci is the remote version of the 9500. Plus, as MemTek mentioned, it uses the Sti's antenna and platform making it Spectre-proof. Also, with the 9500ci, you get Escort's new ZR4 laser jammers.
So if you just want the remote Sti, get the Sti-R.
If you want the 9500's lockout capability, plus jammers, get the 9500ci.
You can see the info at either the Beltronics or the Escort websites.
No GOL tests yet--as both units are very new.
