    Default My first post

Hi all, this is my first post and I have a few questions.
First of all, I'm a Radar Roy customer from Canada, and my last detector was a Cordless Solo 2, which I recently sold on Ebay.

I'll be ordering the new RX65 soon, and I'm really interested in the blinder as well.

I know RD's are illegal in this part of the People's Socialist Republic of Canada (East Coast), and luckily, the local police think VG-2 is a really clever way of keeping RD's out of cars. I've used my Solo 2 for a couple of years now, undetected and undetectable.

I'm the type of driver who will typically go 80 km in a 60 km or maybe 115 km in a 90 km. As you might notice from my signature, I don't have fast vehicles.

What I would like to know is, Firstly - just how detectable is the Blinder? I don't mean visibly, I mean, is it simple for a cop to see his radar is being jammed, or would he just think he missed me? I want to stealth my scooter, believe it or not, and don't want to lose the investment. My scooter will go 170 km/h, but I typically ride about 20 km/h over the limit.

Must the Blinder be constantly kept free of moisture?
Can the police detect their being laser jammed, and if so, is it serious trouble if they catch me?
Is there a point to installing a jammer at the rear of my bike?
Is it impossible for the layman to install his own Blinder?
Anyone with Canadian experience with laser jamming and the consequences?
Anyone with Canadian experience in being Spectre detected?

    Thanks, all.

    Darcy

Blinder is weather proof, so unless its cracked, you needn't worry

Police may be able to tell if you have a jammer if their code is able to display jamming codes, but even if it does- the officer A.) wont know what it is, or b) ignore it. If it is illegal in your area, it is a petty fine & removal of the jammer.

Installing a jammer to the rear will give you 360 protection, BUT as i found out at SML, if they target your helmet, you are toast.

I cant answer your Q's on the canada stuff, although I have read that spectre is used in ontario.

    Enjoy the board

Thank you kindly. I know the Spectre is used in Ontario, but I avoid Toronto like the plague anyway.

Interesting news about the helmet thing, especially since I sit upright on my scooter, not hunched over like a sportbike. I'll have to bob and weave.
