Default The best middle priced laserdetector?

I know you are screwed if they aim at you. But most of the time I drive in traffic so I can get helped from cops shooting at other cars.

The cops here only use laser (in non moving policecars) Then we have speedcameras.
    Any tips?

I believe the best middle price detector would be the cobra 9600 or 9700.

Go with the Whistler Pro 73, read about its range here:

It can be purchased for less than $150

I picked up a 9700 for my girlfriend on Wed. night and have been driving around with since then. My first impressions from a limited test period are that it's way quieter than my V1. (Hell, most things are.) Ka band range seems to be pretty decent. (Got a 1/3 mile heads-up against a constant-on stationary unit parked parallel to the road yesterday. That was beyond visual range on that particular road. He disappeared before I could make a second pass.) I'm a little suspect of K-band range because the reliable falses that my V1 will pick up from a quarter mile the Cobra waits until it's a few hundred feet away. That might be OK for some drivers. Haven't picked up laser yet. I'll be handing it over to my girlfriend today so I'll post back in the Reviews forum once she's had some time with it.

Pro 73 and 9700 are the most interesting right now

If you are not into the voice alertr, I would go with the 9600. It will save you 40$ or so.
