I tend to agree with Happy here. I think the lage time inadvertently works to increase your likelihood of hearing a potential IO attack, but I think the main purpose is to make it appear more sensitive. I remember when I bought my V1 I thought it was less sensitive than my V995 because it wouldn't hold on to some signals for very long and my Bel would. My Bel only alerts the whole time on some of my falses because of the lag time, while the V1 only alerts when it is receiving a signal. I think that real time detection provides a much greater advantage and lets you accurately judge the "danger level" of a threat.
