I have been browsing the forums for a good 3 months now, and perhaps a thread like this already exists, in that case, please lock and Ill read there.

Basically, from browsing I see that most people have their entire set up in their sig, but there is no universal uniting thread where people can post their set ups and results. So lets get it rollin :P Its important to include where youre located (different states may require a different package), your car, your equipment, and lastly, the results! Cheers guys, I hope this will be an informative thread.

Its an exciting time for us radardetector.net fanatics here, with the ZR4 and Veil G4 coming out, so lets see those protection packages. :twisted:

Wayyyyy too much to list, but for any standard road-trip, the normal is:


X50 & V1
Uniden 510XL (Peaked and tuned w/ Wilson 1K w/66inch whip)
Garmin Nuvi 200W.

I will likely be adding a ZR4 and lasershields soon. (By the time for long summer road-trips.)



I have to say this: by far the most cost effective countermeasure (besides my eyes, knowledge and instincts) I have heard of and or used so far is not a radar detector or jammer, but rather a fine-tuned CB set-up.
