    Default Non-dash mount still work?

I live in VA where RDs are illegal, but travel to WV and MD alot (very, very near the state line for both) and dont want to go through the hassle of un-plugging and removing my RD everytime I cross the state line back to VA. If I got something along the lines of an X50 and panel mounted it (like next to the steering wheel) would it still work decently? (if at all) I appreciate the help.

Well I have always felt that if you have your detector mounted up high below the tint on your Windshield that this is your best way to be saved by radar.

A V1 with a remote display can easily made very stealth by putting into a visor CD case and clipping it on the sunshield. Just tuck the wiring under the window trim
