I tried to make a video of this, but I didn't stop the recording on the DVR so the last chunk of it was corrupt. Anyhow, I had my first LEO encounter and it didn't go well for the 9500ci. I got a Ka band alert on the V1, which according to Yahoo Maps was 1.74 miles. The alert was on and off for most of the encounter, since there was lots of traffic in front me most of the time, including a bus. The 9500ci didn't pick up the alert until 1/10 of a mile and even that was intermittent.
Well, it looks like the V1 interferes badly with the 9500ci, or I got a very bad dud. The SRX worked fine along with the V1 and also with the 9500i, however the SRX antenna was mounted about 2 ft lower than the 9500ci radar antenna is, which puts much more shielding between it and the windshield mounted RD. What do you guys think?
