Looking to buy a radar detector and I found an Escort Passport 8500 X50 for $304. Is this a good unit for that price?

Then that is the Red model, you can get it direct for the same price or actually $299.

Thanks. Crutchfield has free shipping Escort does not so it's $304.99 vs $312.95. I know it's only 8 bucks but better in my pocket than theirs.

Last I knew Amazon had them for around $270 with free shipping.

Most of the Amazon stores are NOT authorized dealers, if you purchase from any of them you're not going to have a warranty.

Also there are some other black market dealers that have been using the names of authorized dealers on auction sites. Be sure that they are the real deal before you waste your $$$.
