Radar Detectors...Save you gas!! (srsly!)

Well I have a new marketing strategy for radar detectors. I know it may sound ridiculous but I admit to having this mentality and sometimes justify my speed with this. It is known that cars get there best gas millage at around 55, 60, sometimes even 65. Well with todays gas prices this fact was more than enough to convince me to drive this fast no matter the speed limit! On a road with psl 45 I can save some gas by cruising at 55 or 60. This is obviously where the RD comes to use.

Sounds good right!?

i think it would be nice to have something that lightly beeps at you once you go above a certain speed (like a gps program) so I could set it to 79mph and once i hit that speed it beeps letting me know i'm speeding and wasting gas.

You know what saves you gas?

Replace your engine with a turboshaft. Fill it up with jet fuel and you won't need any gas at all!
