    Question New Uniden GPS based detector?

    The GPSRD is an older detector, from like 2001-2002 time frame. It did have some rudimantary navigation abilities.

    So this was from before they got banned from making detectors?

    Well they were never "banned from making detectors", they just decided to quit making them instead of redesigning them all to comply with the new FCC regulations. But yes, this is from before the FCC restricted emissions in the VSAT band and started requiring compliance testing for radar detectors...

    Actually, Uniden has some new radar detectors out which integrate with their GPS system: Uniden MapTrax. There's a couple of threads on it...
