    Default Radar Detector Tools

Escort Radar just released their new "Radar Detector Tools" program for the 9500ci

I just released a video of their new program showing the features such as updating the detectors firmware and database, along with other neat features that allows you to program the detector right from your computer.

Comments welcome both here and on the blog

    Very cool!

Any chance a similar program will be offered for the 9500i as well?

I have heard through the "grapevine" that they are planning on this, yes!

Whoa! I'll hold off on my detector purchase then. If the 9500i gains this functionality, I'd be much more inclined to purchase it!

They always had it, they were just saving it for the CI.

Awesome Roy, thanks for the in depth info. Hopefully as time goes on they will allow us to customize more features.

Thanks, CJR. Now my next question is how do I connect my 9500ci to my computer. I guess I need a rj-11 to USB cable that I don't have, since the only open port that I see that could possibly work for this is the test jack. Do you guys think that this is a standard cable that I could get from Radio Shack or something?

DJ: I thought it came with a female USB adapter? If I remember from Roy's install video...
