Any idea?
Any idea?
I think because the beam is too wide. Kinda like how X band is now. Its harder to spot out single cars. Thats why Ka is popular with LEOs.
Im sure theres more to it though.
Because the atennas are so huge that it makes it impractical.
And someone would take apart an old microwave and fry them, 1 500 watts
I still want an S-band detector :X
If it wasn't for the pracitcality issues, it would make a good band to make a comeback since none of us could even hope to detect it...
How big is the antenna anyway? Is there any S band gun still in operational condition to make a comeback possible?
S band is in the 2-4ghz range; way too low to have any good range or interference resistance from wifi/bluetooth/cordless phones etc
